The Helmet Collection
The idea began as an effort to create a sense of mystery and tell a story without the use of any faces. In my career as a portrait photographer, it had always been all about the faces. The story was in the eyes, as everyone has heard, they're the windows to the soul.
But, what if I could tell a story only using body language? Would the images be compelling? Would they still draw people in, evoke any emotion?
From this shoot I learned a great deal about the nuance of body language and the vast and varied stories that language is capable of telling.
The result is a compelling collection of beautiful black and white photography that is both provocative and refined. It's a perfect mix of elegance and edge, and it's sure to be the piece of art that everyone is talking about when they see it on your wall.
